Busan has succeeded in hosting large-scale international events and is raising its status in the world as a marquee exhibition and convention city.
At the center of it all is the city¡¯s primary exhibition and convention center, BEXCO, which is hosting a slew of local and international events this year and is actively engaged in promoting the city¡¯s brand and image to the world.

There are 600 exhibitions and international meetings currently scheduled to be held in Busan. Of those, three are particularly noteworthy: the computer game exhibition G-star 2010, the 10th World Korean Business Convention and a renowned international conference on biodiversity.

G-star 2010 ranks as the largest international game exhibition in Korea.
The city has succeeded in hosting the event for two years in a row, dubbing itself the country¡¯s game capital. G-star is a famous exhibition that draws game companies from Korea and overseas.
About 240,000 people gathered at last year¡¯s exhibition at BEXCO - a new record for the event. Busan was chosen as the site for the 10th World Korean Business Convention at an organizing committee meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Busan will be hosting the event for the third time, following successful efforts in 2006 and 2007. About 4,000 people working in economic-related organizations and business professionals in Korea and overseas will participate in the meeting.
The Biodiversity and Ecosystem Service on the Intergovernmental Conference will be held at BEXCO from June 7 to 11.

Representatives from international organizations in 100 countries will visit Busan to discuss the influence of ecosystem service on human welfare and share their methods for preservation. Other renowned international events round out the schedule. The 2010 Busan Contents Market is scheduled from May 13 to 15 at Haeundae BEXCO, while 2010 Busan International Short Film Festival will screen 61 films at the CGV Centum City and Busan Design Center from May 12 to 16.
